My argument for the holly-ford road

My argument on the Hollyford road

To be honest, I think putting a road from Haast to Milford sound would be extremely convenient as it would allow truck drivers, busy people, and tourist to get to milford sound quicker rather than having to drive from haast to queenstown then to milford sound. At the moment from haast to milford sound it takes 6 hrs and 21 mins but if the road was there it would only take 1 hr and 30 mins just imagine the new and beautiful sights you would see it would be amazing. Hopefully I have convinced you that building the road would be convenient for not only you but for everyone thanks.

Tess rainbow warrior bombing argument

In 1984 the French blew up the new Zealand rainbow warrior boat on the Auckland port because the new Zealand rainbow warrior was getting ready to go to france to protest because New Zealand didn’t agree with the french nuclear bomb testing. At night while crew members were in the boat, a french “secret agent’’ swam under the boat and stuck a bomb onto the boat waiting for it to blow up so the rainbow warrior couldn't go to france. When the bomb blew up one man got killed some climbed up onto the top of the roof and the rest jumped onto the wharf. 1 year later the french gave New Zealand 13 million dollars and then the two men that stuck the bomb on the boat got 10 years in prison for manslaughter.

1981 springbok tour

What I couldn’t understand is why the South Africans couldn’t just accept that they weren't the only dark people in the world. The country was divided into 2 when there was a huge conflict over South Africa telling New Zealand that the “people of colour” that was in the all blacks couldn't play the rugby and had to be “benched” because the Africans were very racist but to be honest they could have just sat out because then there would not have been a huge conflict and separation over the whole country and also people paid for food, drinks, tickets, their families tickets, signs and clothes and then people started throwing smoke bombs fireballs why couldn't people just watch the rugby in peace.

what I think of the business sessions

This week Malia and I have been talking about the business we are making. We will be selling ripped jeans, slime, body scrubs, chokers, candles and lots more but we haven't sorted out everything yet the name of our website, youtube channel and Instagram-page is called wanderlustt. I think that this business thing we are doing is a great idea, it's fun and a really good way to earn extra pocket money and I think it will be fun!!

Rafting the big grey river

If I could explain rafting in 3 words they would be... Freezing, Amazing and fun. The scenic views were spectacular. When we were driving up to wai-puna the butterflies in my stomach were horrific. When we got there it was quite warm which was great and once we were ready and had everything sorted we jumped in the rafts and started paddling, the first rapid was one of the bests after that I was eager for more when the 2nd one came I was pumped but it wasn't as big, For the first rapid we had got splashed so my hands were ice cold but I just kept going, After about 1:50 minutes straight of paddling we finally got to the camp sight before we knew it darkness had a Rozen and we got near the camp fire and Jake one of the very cool leaders we had was playing the guitar and we all had hot chocolate and smores and it was awesome. The next day we got our gear packed up, played a few games and then jumped on the rafts and we went again this time everything was two times as cold. I was counting Rapids and I forgot how many we went through but I think it was something like 27, the last one was so shallow but I didn't care because I knew How close we were to the finish and when I saw the parents I was so happy and I was paddling as hard as I could and yeah that's basically all for the rafting thank you to all the leaders Mr Sinton-White and Mr McAulay for taking us on this trip. Here is a photo from the end of the trip.

Rock climbing and Abseiling at Charleston

IT WAS RAD!!!!! We all had a blast it was soo scary. Abseiling was my favourite thing especially the free hang at the end where the cliff curved in on a 45-degree angle and I got a yummy lunch!=) The rock climbing was kinda scary. The instructors were really nice there was Gabby, Jake, Matthew and there was one more but I forgot his name. The views were absolutely amazing the sea was green and it faded out to a royal blue and it was so pretty watching the waves crash on the amazing rocks but yeah overall we all had an amazing time thanks to all the instructors and Mr Sinton-White for taking us on this trip we really appreciate it. Here are some photos from the trip.

Weekly reflection

This week was a cracker!!

The one and only STEVE GURNEY! and another guy called RICHARD! I don't know his last name but he is a fitness trainer came to room 8. It was an amazing experience he told us about his life storeys and experiences and they were amazing he won the coast to coast 9 times in a row if you don't know what the coast to coast is it is where you basically have to run bike and kayak from the serpentine all the way to Christchurch. You have to run through a mountain kayak through the Waimakariri River and lots of other things.
Anyway, on Monday I wasn't at school because I was sick and had a cold. But on Tuesday I came and I volunteered at the S.P.C.A and the kittens were soo cute and we are adopting one called Maverick but we are changing the name to Ted we have already adopted one from the S.P.C.A, it will now be our 4th cat. And Wednesday was the day that Steve and his Richard came. On Thursday I didn't come to school because my cold got worse so yeah but here I am today. Next week we are going abseiling and rock climbing and the week after we are going rafting which I am pumped for so yeah that is the end of my weekly reflection.

weekly reflection

This week was the first week back at school and it has been pretty cool. There hasn't been much drama which is awesome and it was raining on Wednesday so we didn't have to the run that day and I didn't have to do it on Tuesday either because Tuesday mornings I volunteer at the S.P.C.A and we don't do it on Fridays because that is the day off and yeah that is basically all for this week.
