If I could explain rafting in 3 words they would be... Freezing, Amazing and fun. The scenic views were spectacular. When we were driving up to wai-puna the butterflies in my stomach were horrific. When we got there it was quite warm which was great and once we were ready and had everything sorted we jumped in the rafts and started paddling, the first rapid was one of the bests after that I was eager for more when the 2nd one came I was pumped but it wasn't as big, For the first rapid we had got splashed so my hands were ice cold but I just kept going, After about 1:50 minutes straight of paddling we finally got to the camp sight before we knew it darkness had a Rozen and we got near the camp fire and Jake one of the very cool leaders we had was playing the guitar and we all had hot chocolate and smores and it was awesome. The next day we got our gear packed up, played a few games and then jumped on the rafts and we went again this time everything was two times as cold. I was counting Rapids and I forgot how many we went through but I think it was something like 27, the last one was so shallow but I didn't care because I knew How close we were to the finish and when I saw the parents I was so happy and I was paddling as hard as I could and yeah that's basically all for the rafting thank you to all the leaders Mr Sinton-White and Mr McAulay for taking us on this trip. Here is a photo from the end of the trip.
